April 1 - 3 Brazos Bend State Park - Maghrib Friday to After Fajr on Sunday
The PACK & TROOP are planning for a FAMILY CAMP at Brazos Bend State Park, which is only 20 min from the 288 side of Pearland! (21901 FM 762 Rd, Needville, TX 77461)
This camp is for families of Scouts in Pack / Troop 713 and families in the Girl Scout Troop 08651.
Due to camp capacity limits we cannot accept families other than those mentioned above.
The park is almost 5,000 acres in area, has over 40 miles of hiking and biking trails and multiple lakes and streams. There are many nature activities to learn about the wildlife and plant-life in the area and there is an observatory where you can learn about astronomy. You may also bring your bikes to this camp.
All parents must take and print out a certificate saying they have taken the YPT training.
To take the training click on this link and then create an account. You will need to print out the certificate at the end of the video and give it to your Den Leader.
Camp fees are $50 per person with a family maximum of $200. Children 3 and under are free. The fees include the registration fees, meals and activities. This does not include entrance fees to Brazos Bend, which is $7 per person for anyone over 13.
Every participant needs to fill out the Annual Health and Medical Record which can be downloaded here.
You can also use this sheet as a good guideline on what to bring to the camp! Note that every family will need to bring their own tent and gear. There will be no tents available for rent.
